Welcome
With the demise of the One Tree Hillclimb in 2002, motor sport in the local area was in a decline. In August 2006, a small group of local motoring enthusiasts met and resolved to "Re-climb the Hill", and so the Ararat Car Club Inc. was formed.
The Ararat Car Club is now incorporated, formally affiliated with CAMS, and has successfully sought permission from the Rural City of Ararat Council to run closed road competition on the One Tree Hill Road, and is on the way to getting the Hillclimb sanctioned as a CAMS competition venue.
The club's Executive Committee currently comprises of;
President - Chris HarwoodVice President - Mark McGrath
Secretary/Treasurer - Cheryl Healey
We have a growing membership and with great assistance from others, the One Tree Hillclimb was successfully ran on the weekend of the 28th to 29th November 2009. We have received some great community support from groups such as CFA, SES, Rotary, ARBA and Ararat Rural City Council
Other car clubs have also given their support including The Ballarat Light Car Club, Gippsland Car Club, Maffra and District Car Club and MG Car Club and many more.
